Ready to Roll? A Parent’s Guide to Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live™: Glow-N-Fire

Inside: A real parent review of Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live™: Glow-N-Fire with all the information you need, including how to choose add-ons and the options for tickets to Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live

Ready, set, CRUSH! The Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live™: Glow-N-Fire offers larger-than-life trucks, dazzling lights, and non-stop excitement that your kids (and you!) won’t want to miss.

We brought the kids and everyone from my little 3-year-old nephew to my 17-year-old had fun altogether watching these Hot Wheels toys come to life.

What You’ll See at Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live™: Glow-N-Fire

One thing’s for sure—this show is nonstop action from start to finish. Whether you’re a monster truck fanatic or just looking for something wild and loud to enjoy as a family, there’s a lot to take in. Here’s what stood out to us:

  • 🏁 Monster Trucks Competing in Four Challenges
You’ll see these massive trucks go head-to-head in a series of events—jumps, stunts, donuts, and car-crushing chaos.
  • 🌟 Lights, Music & Arena Vibes
As the show begins, the arena lights dim and the trucks fire up glowing with colorful lights—it feels more like a concert than a motorsport event. The music and narration keep everything moving and high-energy.
  • 🦖 Megasaurus Makes an Entrance
Midway through the show, the lights go dramatic and out comes Megasaurus—the fire-breathing, car-eating dinosaur robot. He picks up a real crushed car, chomps it in half, and breathes flames for the crowd. It’s loud, smoky, and unforgettable. The crowd went wild—definitely the fan favorite of the night.
  • 🏍️ Stunt Bikes That Defy Gravity
Personally, the Hot Wheels Freestyle Motocross Team were my favorite part. These athletes launched off ramps and pulled off flips, mid-air tricks, and “release” moves where they let go of their bikes. The timing, control, and risk involved were just incredible. And the kids around us were mesmerized.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live – Ticket Options (What We Learned!)

There are a couple of options when it comes to getting your Hot Wheels Monster Trucks LIVE tickets, especially for those considering the add-on experiences. We’re breaking down what we learned to help you make the right choice!

General Admission – Your Base Ticket (Don’t Skip This!)

Before anything else: you must have a General Admission ticket to enter the show. This is the main ticket that gets you through the doors and into your seat for all the monster truck action.

  • Grants access to the main Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live show
  • Enjoy the full performance from your assigned seat
  • Perfect if you’re just looking to enjoy the big trucks, stunts, and loud fun

💡 Tip: Every guest—kids and adults—needs their own General Admission ticket, even if you purchase an add-on.

🎉 Pre-Show Party Add-On – Get Close to the Trucks!

This is a really fun upgrade if you want to experience more than just the show.

  • Lets you go down onto the arena floor before the event starts
  • See the trucks up close (they are huge—way bigger than they look from the stands!)
  • Take pictures, get driver autographs, and enjoy the atmosphere without the full crowd yet
  • Great for younger kids and fans who love collecting signatures

🚨 This is an add-on, not a standalone ticket. You need General Admission too!

VIP Backstage Tour Add-On – Our Favorite Part

We did the VIP Experience, and it was absolutely worth it. If you’re a big fan or just curious about how these shows come together, this one’s for you.

Q&A with Gunkster driver at the VIP Back-Stage Experience Hot Wheels Monster Truck
  • Includes everything from the Pre-Show Party– just make sure to go see the other trucks BEFORE the behind-the-scenes tour starts so you’ll have time to see the rest of the pre-show.
  • Adds a behind-the-scenes tour of the setup areas—no crowds, just small groups
  • We got to meet both a monster truck driver and one of the dirt bike stunt riders—they were friendly and took time to chat and answer questions
  • You’ll see toolboxes, tires, and staging areas you’d never notice otherwise
  • We even saw Megasaurus tucked away in his crate before his big fire-breathing moment—very cool!

🧡 What made this special was the quiet time backstage without all the crowds. You really get to appreciate the show from a new angle.

VIP Check In

To find the table to check in for the VIP tour, head to the pre-show party. Once there, look for the VIP flag.

A Quick Warning About Tickets

Unfortunately, while we were at the show, we saw a family turned away at the entrance. They had purchased what they thought were tickets—but it turned out they’d only bought an add-on, and it was from a fraudulent seller. This can happen with any show, and unfortunately, I’ve personally been on that end with a gifted fraudulent ticket in the past. It’s a terrible thing, especially when kids are involved and so excited to see a show.

Please make sure to:

Be cautious with third-party sellers—if it seems too good to be true, it probably is

Buy tickets only from official or trusted vendors (the show’s official website, box office, or reputable ticketing platforms)

Double-check that your purchase includes General Admission, even if you’re buying add-ons.
